A day on the Tara empties you out in a way the city never does — the paddling, the water, the sun, the adrenaline. When you come back in the evening, you don't need luxury. You need hot water, a clean bed and quiet. That is exactly what we built.
The camp sits right on the bank, where the Tara and Piva meet and the Drina begins. No traffic, no city noise — just the river working through the night. Guests tell us they've slept better here than anywhere. We've stopped being surprised.
The camp has 13 bungalows with 55 beds in total, and every bungalow has its own private bathroom and hot water. That sounds like a small thing — until you've spent a day in the canyon, and then you realise it's everything.
The bungalows are timber, and you feel it. The smell of wood, cool in summer, holding the warmth when the temperature drops. For the extended season we have heaters, so a September evening is just as comfortable.
They're deliberately simple. A clean, comfortable bed, your own bathroom, and that's it. No TV, no fuss, no reason to stay indoors. At Konak your day is on the water, your evening is by the fire with dinner, and the bungalow is there for the one thing you actually need after all that — a quiet sleep to the sound of the river.
If there are two of you booking a bungalow, it's yours alone. We don't fill rooms to capacity.

The best part of the Tara isn't on the river. It happens in the evening, when everyone's back, showered and sitting down at the table. The fire, dinner from our kitchen, a glass of wine, and a conversation that starts about the rapids and ends somewhere else entirely.
People who met in the raft that morning are acting like old friends by nightfall. That's not something we arrange — the river does it for us.
Dogs are welcome. Parking is free and CCTV-monitored. The river is two steps away and asks nothing of you.
For those travelling by campervan or tent, our site takes up to 15 vehicles — enough space for everyone to have their own peace, with no neighbours in your window. Each pitch includes sanitation, electric hookup and WiFi, with the home kitchen and the river a few steps away.
€20 per night. Simple, fair, and exactly the way camping on the Tara should be.
