With over 20 years on the Tara, our guides know the river in every mood — glassy calm and in full flood. That kind of experience can't be replaced by any certificate. But the certificates are there too, along with proven gear and clear rules we follow on every trip, no exceptions.
Every trip is led by a certified guide who knows the river by heart — every rapid, every current and every safe spot to rest. They choose the line, call the commands and adjust the pace to the group. You just listen and enjoy.
Gear is the one area where we never cut corners. Our equipment is new and meets current standards — boats, life vests, helmets, neoprene suits, paddles. None of it is inherited, borrowed or 'still good enough'.
We invest in gear continuously, every season. It's a significant cost, and it's where many camps make savings — we don't. Simply put: the person sitting in your boat is someone's father, someone's child, and that's the only calculation that matters to us.
Gear is regularly maintained and inspected. Before each season and throughout it, we check everything — every vest, every helmet, every boat. Anything showing the slightest sign of wear does not go back on the water.

Before every trip the guide explains the paddle commands, how to behave in rapids and what to do if someone goes overboard. Brief, clear and never skipped — we don't push off until everyone is ready. Not one trip has ever launched without a briefing, and none ever will.
The river and weather can change, and guest safety is always our first priority. We reserve the right to postpone or adjust a trip if conditions aren't right. We'd rather disappoint you on one day than take risks — and not a single guest has ever held it against us.
Basic fitness and a sense of adventure are all you need — you'll learn everything else on the spot, with the guide in the boat beside you the whole time.
